The Landesliga - Karnten is a football league in Austria, founded in 1965. The league is made up of teams from the Austrian state of Carinthia. It is the fourth tier of the Austrian football league system.
The first season of the Landesliga - Karnten was played in 1965-66, with six teams competing. The first champions were ASKÖ Wolfsberg. Since then, the league has grown to include 12 teams competing in the 2020-21 season.
The league is organised and managed by the Carinthian Football Association (KFA). The KFA is responsible for the organisation, promotion and regulation of football in the state of Carinthia. The KFA also organises the Carinthian Cup, a knockout tournament for teams in the Landesliga - Karnten.
The Landesliga - Karnten is an important part of the Austrian football league system. It provides a platform for teams from the state of Carinthia to compete against each other and to gain promotion to higher levels of the Austrian football league system.
The 2022 Landesliga - Karnten Austria season has just begun on July 22nd, 2022 and will run until June 11th, 2023. 17 teams are competing for the championship and so far 272 out of 152 matches have been played. The top three teams currently in the standings are Spittal with 32 points, KAC and KAC with 31 and 30 points respectively, but there are still 120 matches to be played. The points difference between the top three teams is only 2 points, so it is still anyone’s game. The next 120 matches will be crucial in deciding the winner of the Landesliga - Karnten Austria season 2022. It will be interesting to see which team will come out on top.
