The Regionalliga - Ost in Austria was founded in 1974 and is the third tier of Austrian football. It is made up of 18 teams from the states of Lower Austria, Upper Austria, and Vienna. The league is run by the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB) and is divided into two divisions, the East and the West.
The first games of the Regionalliga - Ost were played in 1974, with the first champions being SC Eisenstadt. Since then, the league has gone through many changes, including the addition of new teams, the introduction of promotion and relegation, and the expansion of the league to include teams from other regions of Austria.
The corporate structure of the Regionalliga - Ost is made up of a board of directors, which is responsible for the day-to-day running of the league. The board is made up of representatives from each of the 18 teams in the league, as well as representatives from the ÖFB. The board is responsible for making decisions regarding the league, such as setting the rules, scheduling matches, and deciding on promotions and relegations.
The Regionalliga - Ost is one of the most competitive leagues in Austria, and is a great platform for young players to develop their skills and gain experience. It is also a great opportunity for clubs to gain promotion to the higher tiers of Austrian football.
The 2022 season of the Regionalliga - Ost Austria kicked off on July 29th 2022 and will conclude on May 27th 2023. At the moment, sixteen teams are competing for the championship title and 240 out of 128 matches have already been played. The top three teams in the standings are Stripfing with 43 points, TWL Elektra with 36 points, and TWL Elektra with 32 points. However, there are still 112 matches left to be played, and the top three teams are separated by 11 points. Therefore, it is still anyone’s guess who will emerge as the champion of the Regionalliga - Ost Austria 2022 season. The Regionalliga East is a football competition in Austria that was first established in 1984. The inaugural season was won by 1. Schwechater SC. The teams are placed in one table, with a promotion and relegation system for the best and worst-performing teams. Each team plays a total of 18 games in one season and the team with the most points at the end of the season is declared the winner.
The Regionalliga Ost Austria is officially organized by the Österreichischer Fußball-Bund (Austrian Football Association). The league also has several TV partners, including ORF, Sky Austria, and Puls 4, who broadcast matches and other content related to the league.
