National 2 - Group A: A Brief History
The National 2 - Group A is a French football league that was founded in 1933. It is the fourth tier of the French football league system and is currently composed of 18 teams. The league is divided into two groups, A and B, with each group containing nine teams.
The first games of the National 2 - Group A were played in 1933, and the first season saw the teams compete in a double round-robin format. The top two teams in each group were promoted to the National 1, while the bottom two teams were relegated to the National 3.
The league has undergone several changes since its inception, including the introduction of a promotion/relegation system in 1995 and the expansion of the league to 18 teams in 2004. The current corporate structure of the National 2 - Group A consists of a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary, a Treasurer, and a Board of Directors.

The 2022 National 2 - Group A France season has kicked off on August 20th, 2022 and will conclude on June 3rd, 2023. Sixteen teams are currently competing for the championship title, with 240 out of 116 matches already played. The top three teams in the standings are Racing Colombes 92 with 26 points, Rouen with 23 points, and Rouen with 22 points respectively. However, there are still 124 matches left to be played, and the top three teams are separated by only four points. It is still anyone’s game and the competition is sure to be fierce as the season progresses.
