The NB III - Közép Football League in Hungary is the third tier of the Hungarian football league system. It was founded in 1991 as the third division of the Hungarian Football League. It is divided into two geographical divisions, East and West. The East division consists of 16 teams and the West division consists of 18 teams.
The first game of the league was played on August 3, 1991, between FC Tatabánya and BVSC Budapest. The first season of the league was won by BVSC Budapest, who went on to win the league six times in total. The most successful team in the history of the league is Győri ETO FC, who have won the league a total of 15 times.
The corporate structure of the league is overseen by the Hungarian Football Federation, which is responsible for the organization and regulation of the league. The league is also supported by the Hungarian Football Association, which provides financial support to the teams in the league.
The NB III - Közép Football League in Hungary is an important part of the Hungarian football system and has been a great success since its foundation in 1991.
The 2022 NB III - Közép Hungary season started on July 31, 2022 and will finish on May 21, 2023. Currently, there are 20 teams competing for the championship, with 380 out of 200 matches already played. The top three teams in the standings are separated by a mere two points; Hódmezővásárhely is currently in first place with 41 points, Iváncsa is in second with 40 points, and Iváncsa is in third with 39 points. However, with 180 matches still to be played, the standings could still change drastically.
