Origins and Foundation of Liga 1 in Moldova
The Liga 1 in Moldova is the top division of the Moldovan football league system. It was founded in 1992, shortly after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Initially, the league was known as the Divizia A and was composed of 12 teams. The first season of the Liga 1 was played in 1992-1993 and was won by Constructorul Chisinau.
In 1996, the league was renamed to Liga 1 and the number of teams increased to 14. In the following years, the number of teams in the league was increased to 16 and then to 18. The league currently consists of 16 teams, with each team playing each other twice during the season. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion.
The corporate structure of the Liga 1 is overseen by the Moldovan Football Federation (MFF). The MFF is responsible for organizing and managing the league, as well as setting the rules and regulations. The MFF also organizes the Moldovan Cup, which is the second most important football competition in the country.
The Liga 1 is one of the most popular sports leagues in Moldova and has a long and rich history. It is an important part of the country’s sporting culture and continues to be a source of pride for the nation.
The Liga 1 is the top division of Moldovan football, having been established in 1992 when Nistru Otaci were crowned the first champions. The teams are placed in one table, with a promotion and relegation system for the best and worst-performing teams. The best team is promoted to the Super Liga, while the worst team is relegated to Liga 1. For the 22/23 season, Flacara Falesti and FC Vasieni were promoted to Liga 1, while FC Floreşti were relegated. Each team plays a total of 28 games in one season, and the team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion.
The Football Association of Moldova (FMF) is the official organization responsible for the management and organization of the Moldovan football league, Liga 1. FMF is the governing body of football in Moldova and is responsible for the organization of the national team, as well as the organization of the Liga 1. FMF also works in partnership with various television networks to ensure that Liga 1 matches are broadcasted to the widest possible audience.
