Football League 3. Division - Girone 2 in Norway was founded in 2000, as the third tier of the Norwegian football league system. The league is divided into two geographical groups, with each group containing 10 teams. The teams play each other twice, home and away, for a total of 18 games.
The first season of the league was played in 2000, with the first game being played on April 15th between the teams of Molde 2 and Tromsø 2. The first season saw the teams of Strømmen, Ørn-Horten, and Eik-Tønsberg promoted to the second division, while the teams of Tromsø 2, Molde 2, and FK Arendal were relegated.
The league is managed by the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF), which is responsible for the administration and regulation of the league. The NFF also organizes the promotion and relegation of teams between the three divisions. The league is sponsored by the Norwegian Football Association (NFF) and the Norwegian Football League (NFF).
Since its inception, Football League 3. Division - Girone 2 in Norway has seen many teams come and go, with the current teams being: Strømmen, Ørn-Horten, Eik-Tønsberg, Sandefjord, FK Arendal, Tromsø 2, Molde 2, FK Haugesund, FK Jerv, and FK Levanger.
