The 3. Liga East in Slovakia was founded in 2018 as the third tier of Slovak football. It is part of the Slovak Football Association and is a member of the UEFA. The league is divided into three divisions: East, West and Central.
The first games of the 3. Liga East were played in the 2018/19 season with six teams competing in the inaugural season. The teams were: MFK Zemplin Michalovce, FK Poprad, FK Pohronie, FK Humenne, FK Spisska Nova Ves and FK Slovan Duslo Sala.
The league is managed by the Slovak Football Association, which is responsible for the organization and regulation of the league. The league is divided into two stages, with the top two teams in each division advancing to the playoffs. The winner of the playoffs is crowned the champion of 3. Liga East.
The 3. Liga East is an important part of the Slovak football system and provides an opportunity for teams to compete at a higher level. The league is a great platform for players to showcase their talents and gain experience in the game.
The 2022 East Slovakia 3. Liga season is off to an exciting start, with the season beginning on August 5th, 2022 and concluding on June 11th, 2023. Leading the way is Spišská Nová Ves with 36 points, followed closely by Lipany and Lipany with 35 and 29 points respectively. However, with 120 matches still to be played, the standings could look very different by the end of the season. It is sure to be an exciting and unpredictable season, and with so much still to play for, it is sure to be an exciting and entertaining season for all involved.
