Football League 3 - SNL West in Slovenia
Football League 3 - SNL West in Slovenia is the third tier of the Slovenian football pyramid. It was founded in 1991, shortly after the dissolution of Yugoslavia. The league is divided into two regional divisions, the East and the West, with a total of 18 clubs competing in each division.
The first season of the SNL West in Slovenia began in 1992, with 12 clubs competing in the West division. The inaugural champions were NK Primorje, who went on to win the league title again in 1993 and 1994. Since then, the league has seen a number of different clubs win the title, including NK Domžale, NK Maribor, and NK Celje.
The league is currently managed by the Slovenian Football Association, which is responsible for the organization and regulation of the competition. The league is divided into two regional divisions, the East and the West, with a total of 18 clubs competing in each division. The top two teams from each division are promoted to the Slovenian Second League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Slovenian Fourth League.
