The Football League 3. Lig - Group 2 in Turkey was founded in 2001 as the third tier of the Turkish football league system. It is the lowest professional level of the system and is divided into two groups, Group 1 and Group 2. The two groups are divided geographically, with Group 1 consisting of teams from the western part of the country and Group 2 consisting of teams from the eastern part of the country.
