Druha Liga - Group A in Ukraine is a professional football league in Ukraine. It was founded in 1991 and is the second tier of Ukrainian football. The league is divided into four regional divisions, each with 16 teams.
The first games of Druha Liga - Group A were played in the summer of 1991. The first season was won by FC Karpaty Lviv, who went on to win the league title in the following season. The corporate structure of Druha Liga - Group A consists of the Ukrainian Football Federation (UFF), the Professional Football League of Ukraine (PFLU), and the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL). The UFF is responsible for the overall organization and management of the league, while the PFLU is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the league. The UPL is the highest division of professional football in Ukraine.
Druha Liga - Group A is an important part of the Ukrainian football system and provides a platform for teams to compete for promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League.
