The V-League 1 is managed by the Vietnam Professional Football Company (VPF), which was established in 2008. VPF is a joint venture between the Vietnam Football Federation, the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department, and the Vietnam Football Professional Company. VPF is responsible for the management and promotion of the V-League 1, as well as the V-League 2 and the Vietnam National Cup.
